We Did It!

Julie Mallozzi June 23, 2016

I am thrilled to report that we have surpassed our $50,000 crowdfunding goal for THE CIRCLE: STORIES OF MURDER AND JUSTICE.  Thank you so much to the 187 backers who made this possible - and to the many friends who helped spread the word.

With this funding, we will be able to complete several last days of shooting and bring our editor back to incorporate the recent round of feedback we have gotten from our advisors Kay Pranis and Carolyn Boyes-Watson and from Janet Connors' circle of friends and family.  We hope to bring the new rough cut to a test audience in a few months.

We will also be able to purchase the archival footage we'd like to use in the film, and clear the rights to music appearing in the background.

Thanks again for everyone's support!

Halfway to our Crowdfunding goal!

Julie May 14, 2016

We launched our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for my documentary The Circle: Stories of Murder and Justice a week ago and are almost halfway to our $50,000 goal!

Please share this link widely in the next week so we can meet it by June 5.

Fundraiser for Our Place

Julie March 26, 2011

A short video I produced was featured at a fundraising event for the Our Place Day Care Center for Homeless Children in Cambridge last night. The center, run by the Salvation Army, helps break the cycle of homelessness for families: while the children receive loving care and education, their parents can seek employment, job training, substance abuse counseling, or permanent housing.

The event was put on by the Cambridge Community of Real Estate Professionals, which has supported Our Place for 20 years. During the evening, Cambridge Mayor David Maher honored Majors Stephen and Betzann Carroll (above) for their decades of service to the Salvation Army. Congratulations on your retirement, Steve and Betzann!
